Secluded Lodging on Dabob Bay / Hood Canal     This quaint 1 bedroom vacation cottage sleeps 4, with a queen size bed in the master bedroom & pull out sofa  in the living room. It is fully furnished with all necessary kitchen utensils, bedding, towels, laundry facilities & a covered deck for your convenience. For larger groups there is an attached bunkhouse with a queen sized lower bunk & a twin size upper bunk, the bunk house has it's own bathroom & shower & will accommodate 3 adults or children. If your group requires additional lodging, we will assist you in  finding a suitable hotel or vacation rental near Dabob Bay Cottage Fall asleep to the gentle whisper of the nearby creek & awake to beautiful sunrises over Dabob Bay. Whether your stay is a week or a weekend you will return home with memories to last a lifetime. 1 mile of private beach, where you can: Launch kayaks, canoes or boats up to 18 feet, beach comb, swim, snorkel,scuba dive, or sit & watch otters, seals, & raccoons play on the beach & in  Dabob Bay. Birdwatching: Birders are thrilled by the antics of bald eagles soaring overhead & the sound of the osprey as they dive from high above to capture their unsuspecting prey. Many rare shore birds & sea ducks are found here throughout the year. Shell-Fishing at your door step: Hood Canal & Dabob Bay are noted for the spot shrimp, crab & shellfish  which can be found right in front of the cottage. There are several easily accessed state beaches very near our vacation cottage with abundant shellfish populations. Salmon Fishing: Coho salmon, king salmon, chum salmon & pink salmon can be found in the   waters of Dabob Bay & Hood Canal & the many streams flowing from the Olympic Mountains, & can be taken by various fishing methods including trolling, mooching, & fly fishing. Fishing for Trout: Spring & summer are the best times to try your luck fly fishing for cutthroat trout in Hood Canal & Dabob Bay  or try fishing brook trout or rainbow trout in the streams & rivers flowing from the Olympic Mountains nearby. Steel Head trout start entering the rivers in early winter (Nov.)& provide good fishing through late spring (Mar.) Hiking: Miles of trails await the hiking enthusiast in the nearby Olympic Mountains & Olympic National Park. Or explore the roads & trails near Dabob Bay Cottage into thousands of acres of state owned forest land. Enjoy area Attractions: Dabob Bay Cottage is centrally located so that you can use it for a base to enjoy the many festivals & activities in the area, only 25 minutes from the Olympic Music Festival, 45 minutes from Port Townsend & Sequim & an hour from the ferry dock in Port Angeles, yet away from the noise of town.
